Melashdan Dorper stud increased the sale average by $160 at its 9th annual on-property sale at Tumby Bay on Tuesday last week.
The sale topped $2700 for a White Dorper ram, with 66 rams sold from 75 offered.
Fort-eight White Dorpers and 18 Dorpers were sold.
By a Melashdan bred sire, the 100-kilogram ram was bought by new client Trevor Lock, Clare.
The twin ram had a weaning weight of 4.5, a post-WWT of 8.2 and 1.4 per cent eye muscle area.
Stud principal Janice Fiegert said although the ram’s figures were not outstanding, it was a balanced animal that would perform well in the paddock.
