Volume demand drives prices and full clearance at Etiwanda White Dorpers

Buyers sought high performing rams at the annual Etiwanda White Dorper sale, held on-property at Etiwanda Station, near Cobar, on Friday.

The Mosely family achieved a full clearance of 106 rams to a $5250 top to average $2707.

James Turnbull, Kiora, Bingara, purchased the top-priced ram, Etiwanda 236853.

Sired by Etiwanda 215181, the August 2023 twin drop ram had Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBVs) in the top 10 per cent of the breed for maternal carcase production (MCP) at +148.9, and top 20pc for post weaning eye muscle depth (PEMD) at +2.7. He weighed 72 kilograms.
