There was both local and Queensland support at the annual Dorper Sheep Society of Australia national sale at Dubbo on Friday.
The multi-vendor sale offered both Dorper and White Dorper rams and ewes.
The top-priced ram, Dusty Downs 230171, was offered by Dusty Downs White Dorpers, Hermidale.
He sold for $5400 to Chelmer Pastoral Company, St George, Qld.
The ram, by Nomuula 170275 and out of Amarula White 191399, was the only type five White Dorper ram to be offered and had Australian sheep breeding values in the top five per cent for shear force.
