Buyer confidence was high at the 16th annual DSSA Queensland multi-vendor Dorper and White Dorper sale, held at the St George showgrounds on Tuesday, July 30.
With 126 rams and six ewes offered, with 125 rams and three ewes selling for a 96 per cent clearance, an average price of $2089.45, and total sale gross of $267,450.
There were over 40 registered bid cards and plenty of activity online via Auctions Plus to make it a strong sale.
The crowd was very active with the top price White Dorper ram, Amarula White 232675, offered by Lorroi and Justin Kirkby of Amarula Dorper stud, Moree, NSW, making $5000, selling to successful return buyers Jeff and Wendy Betts of Chelmer Pastoral Company, Nindigully.
